Introduction

Jain Kanya Pathshala PG College, Meerut Road Muzaffarnagar (UP.), a prestigious minority girls institution of the state has gradually evolved from a small primary school into a Post graduate college, crossing the various stages of becoming a High School in 1953, Intermediate college in 1958 and a Degree college in 1963. The Kanya Pathshala ultimately attained the status of PG College in 1985. Due to the intense labour and devotion of the management and staff, this institution is recognized as one of the distinguished colleges of C.C.S University.
One of the formost reason that accords the college this position is its academic performance. Here the pass percentage of the students has always been very high. Almost every year students secure positions in the University merit list. Students have also earned laurels in the fields of sports, debate and cultural activities at University and state level. Besides that efforts are also made to encourage the students to pursue the ideals of simplicity and hard work.
The College provides Post Graduate education in Hindi, Drawing & Painting, Pol. Science, Sociology(S.F.), English(S.F.) and M.Com (S.F.). Two subjects for the post-graduate degree besides providing facility for research work. At the under graduate level, classes are held for B.A., B.Com. (self- finance), B.Sc. (self- finance) and B.Sc. Home Sc. (self- finance). In the near future the institution is bound to make further progress as efforts are on to introduce more disciplines and courses at various levels. The College owns six acres of land with built up area of 2322.5 Sqm.

Our college is affiliated with Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut. The college discharges its functions in accordance with the rules and regulations established under Ch. Charan Singh University Meerut and amends them from time to time as well as follow the instructions/ orders issued by Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Major Activities

  • The major activities are in accordance with the vision and mission of the college that is to provide opportunities to the students and hence making sure that each family in and around Muzaffarnagar, may have graduates and postgraduates.
  • Higher education up to the level of Ph.D. is provided from our college to the students of all sections of the community without any discrimination.
  • Communal harmony is established through NSS, Sports and Value Education, Cultural Programmes, Association Meetings and Extension Activities
  • Employment oriented vocational courses and training programmes are offered.
  • Through quality education, skill training and awareness building programmes, upliftment of socially and economically suppressed students and their parents is being ensured.

The person seeking information may apply by writing on a plain paper the particulars of information being sought and his/her correct address for communication. Separate applications for seeking information on different subjects are required. The application has to be accompanied with the prescribed fee (at present a fee of Rs. 10/-). The fee is payable with each application which is towards the cost of processing the request. The schedule of fees can be obtained from the Principal of the Jain Kanya Pathshala PG College Muzaffarnagar. For the time being the rates are as follows:

  1. Rs. 2/-per page of A-4 or A-5 size.
  2. Actual cost for sizes bigger than A-4 or A-5.
  3. In case of photo copies, the rate would be Rs. 2/-per page.
  4. If information is needed on a disk or floppy (subject to availability) in soft form, the fee will be Rs. 50/-per disk/floppy.
  5. Admissible records may be allowed to be inspected on payment of Rs. 50/-per hour or part thereof, before the date and time of inspection of the same.
